Ready for rugby?

Join the only high school girls rugby team in Central New York - welcoming all players in Grades 9 through 12 for the Spring 2025 season. No experience necessary!

Practices provide an opportunity for new players to learn rugby and meet the team. All players will become confident in their tackling and ready to step on the field as a Silver Hawk.

Season starts on friday, FEBRUARY 28, 2025!

Visit our calendar for details about practice, games, and event dates/times and locations. Our schedule typically includes two practices per week and some team bonding events. Sunday games start in April. Due to the weather, our practices alternate between indoor and outdoor locations at the start of the season and may be subject to change.

Gear for Practice: mouthguard, rugby shorts, cleats (sneakers when indoors), water, necessary layers or attire for the weather, and additional gear for special events

Join us at the Solvay Public Library as we share with kids in Grades K-12 about our amazing sport of rugby!

Program Format:

  • Reading "R is for Rugby"

  • Sharing rugby stories

  • Playing/demoing rugby (on the front lawn weather pending, otherwise indoors)
